I’ve nothing to show except,
Broken promises I haven’t kept
A phony façade to disguise
All of my pathetic lies
You’ve given all you’ve got
Whereas I have not
It was your best try
This well has run dry
I have broken you down
Beaten you to the ground
Dragged you though the dirt
Left you in a world of hurt
I’m nothing but a broken man
Trying to play my best hand
But I am just so confused
From all the times I have abused
To my dreams I am addicted
My imaginations a curse afflicted
Never even stood a chance
I’m trapped within its trance
It’s been nine months now
And it’s all still the same
Hoped it would improve somehow
But all I still feel is pain
If I could rewind time
To when I made that mistake
I would change my mind
An undo all this heartbreak
I miss you still my friend
You were more than ordinary
I brought things to an end
An I’ll always be sorry

What horrors await, at the final station
About when we no longer eat
Where the line, crosses the boundaries
This trajectory, a projection.
Unfathomable suffering, veins collapsing
Rubble, inanimate machinery
Escalated imagery, observation of
Devastation, a monster escaping

Twas Christmas day, just last year
From dark gray clouds, lightning appeared
Storms rolled in, we took shelter
Not knowing yet, true helter-skelter
Sheltered from the rain, protected from the thunder
Every lightening strike, Tore us asunder
Then came panic, tis doomsday they said
Some turned to prayer, some to lead
Hope was lost, forever it seemed
Nothing was left, apart from dreams
Piercing the clouds, the sun appeared
Relieving us of what we feared
